It seems that not a single day can pass us by without us feeling desperate, tormented, and helpless as the world enters another global challenge. 

I believe we all have something to hold onto that gives us comfort, courage, and hope… maybe a song, a quote from a book, connectedness with others, or a faith.  I have a few ideas that I revisit to keep an ember of hope alive when all of the world seems intent on dousing it.
